The 2001 Philippine Web Awards Has Launched!

Manila, July 9, 2001 — The Philippine Web Awards has now launched. Now on its fourth year, the Awards will once again put into the spotlight the year’s most outstanding Filipino Web sites, and the people behind them.

The Philippine Web Awards has already established itself as an industry event that is widely recognized by the entire I.T. industry and mainstream media. It has become a barometer of the evolving talents of Filipino Web writers, designers, and developers.

This year, the organizers expect to once more double the number of nominees and awards night attendees. Definitely, this year is going to be even more competitive as new sites have appeared and previous finalists are out to do better. But in the end, this year will be what it always has been — a fun-filled and exciting road to recognizing world class Filipino Web sites.
