Cash and trophies up for grabs at PWA
The prestigious and highly anticipated 8th Philippine Web Awards (PWA), the annual event that honors the best Filipino-created Web sites, will be awarding cash prizes and trophies to the winners from this year’s pool of nominees.
Prizes up for grabs are P10,000 and a trophy for each of the 14 categories under the Best Web site awards.
This year’s categories are: Arts and Portfolio, Banking and Finance, Celebrities and Personalities, Community and Portal, Corporate, Entertainment, e-Commerce, e-Government, e-Services, Home and Living, Organizations, Personal, Schools, and SMEs. The PWA will also award trophies for People’s Choice under the same categories.
This year marks the first time that the Hall of Fame awards will be given to sites that have received five awards in the past seven legs of the PWA.
The Philippine Web Awards will be held on November 25, 2005 at the Meralco Theater in Mandaluyong City.

PWA Reminder
Major Web site design changes are no longer allowed once the judging period begins on Sept 07, 2005. You may still update your content, but drastic design changes may disqualify your entry.
Here’s the schedule for the judging period:
Eliminations / Semis: September 07 – 30, 2005
Pre-finals: October 01 – 22, 2005
Awards Night: November 25, 2005 at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City
