People’s Choice Awards for best websites now open

It’s election season for the 7th Philippine Web Awards — the country’s most prestigious Web design competition. Sixteen categories are up for grabs on Nov. 23, at the OnStage Theater in Greenbelt, the 7th PWA Awards Night, as some 100 semifinalists vie for the Best Website Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.

The People’s Choice Award is given to the semifinalist in each category which garners the most number of votes from the general public through Web and SMS voting facilities. Voting via SMS starts by typing myVOTE WEBBIES and sending to 2214 for Globe subscribers and 283 for Smart Subscribers. [note: there is a slight delay with Globe, please await further notice]

Voting online is done on the official Website of the Philippine Web Awards. SMS voters will get a chance to win weekly prizes. Voting has began and will end on Nov. 23.

The Philippine Web Awards is an annual competition organized by Media G8way Corporation.
